Dan’s Holga shots of India
For those of you who do not know, a Holga is a toy plastic camera that gives wildly unpredictable results. This is fitting, as India is a country that gives wildly unpredictable results. I set out with 50 rolls of 120mm film for my little Holgas, and these are my favourite so far. I hope you enjoy. ~Dan.
Walking backwards in Time through Tamil Nadu.

It’s 4 in the morning and I am in a Hell of digestive proportions. I am sick of being sick, and this is a doozy. I’m so sick I have to take off my shirt because of the cold sweats, and the sad thing is in this busted bathroom of the train there is no [...]
Coastal Adventures: Goan beaches and Wanderings in Kochi

I woke up sticky and smelling faintly of mushrooms and old shoes. I strain to wipe the sleep from my eyes, and in my head I hear a rattle. Kuh-clack, kuh-klack, kuh-clack. My back is stiff and creaks like an old door as I try to sit up on the lower bunk of our berth. [...]
The Desert City Blues… or rather the Blue City: Jodhpur

Gilded Punjab and porcelaine dreams

Waking up at four in the morning sucks. Yup, there is no way that softens the hardness of the early morning chills, nor is there a kind way to be wrenched from the comforts of sleep, just to catch a bus across town. We had been in Chandigarh again for a couple days. Our hasty [...]
Over hill and under again…

Being at an altitude of 7000 feet above sea level is an excellent way to prove how weak you really are.
We have a few minutes, and we are off to Himachal Pradesh.

A frenzy of moving about and heres and theres, now a moment’s respite before more journeying. A relaxing time spent in Panchkula an offshoot town of Chandigarh, and our running around to see what this place has to offer. Good food, cleaner air than Delhi, and a very unique look, modernist architecture, recycled junk made [...]
Well, here’s the first week.

There is no feeling that can match the complete uncertainty of not knowing what to expect from life every time you wake up in the morning.
